JS Kabylie has unveiled its latest addition to the squad, with the acquisition of Malian attacking midfielder Mamadou Traoré from Stade Malien in Bamako.
A seasoned 24-year-old, Traoré, who is set to celebrate his 25th birthday later this week, brings a wealth of experience beyond Mali, having previously embarked on an adventure in Turkey in 2022 with Menemenspor.
His stint there was cut short after six months, leading him back to Stade Malien in Bamako (SMB).
During his tenure with SMB, Traoré emerged as a pivotal figure under the guidance of Franco-Algerian coach Djebbour.
Displaying his prowess, the attacking midfielder showcased remarkable stats, contributing 5 goals and 7 assists in 28 games.
His notable performances on the field did not go unnoticed, attracting attention from European scouts.
Several clubs from French Ligue 2, as well as counterparts in Switzerland and Russia, expressed interest in securing Traoré’s services.
The Malian international A’ had even garnered attention from Turkish clubs such as Hatayspor and Kocaelispor during his previous stint in the country.
However, the promising midfielder opted to join JS Kabylie, signing a 2 and a half-year contract.
With ambitions to utilize his time at JSK as a stepping stone to European football, Mamadou Traoré carries the hopes and aspirations of both the player and the club.
The signing reflects JS Kabylie’s commitment to strengthening its squad and adding a dynamic dimension to its midfield as they navigate the challenges of the season ahead.
