Johnbosco Kalu’s journey with IFK Varnamo is nearing its final whistle.
The Nigerian striker has been sold to Israeli side Beitar Jerusalem, with the transfer set to take effect after Varnamo’s clash against Djurgardens IF on July 13.
Kalu had been one of Varnamo’s standout performers last season, attracting attention before the current campaign kicked off. While a winter transfer didn’t materialize, the club has now confirmed his departure in the summer window.
“We thank Johnbosco for his efforts so far in IFK Varnamo and wish him the best of luck when he leaves IFK Varnamo,” the club stated on its official website.
Despite the deal being done, fans may still get a few more glimpses of the forward in action. Kalu is expected to remain available for up to three more Allsvenskan fixtures before heading to Israel.
This season, he has featured in eleven matches and scored twice. His strong work rate and eye for goal made him a key figure at Varnamo, and his next chapter with Beitar Jerusalem promises to be one to watch.
