Joachim Mununga Parts Ways with RAEC Mons After Club’s Relegation
Joachim Mununga has officially parted ways with RAEC Mons following the club’s relegation to the Belgian second division. The Congolese international attacking midfielder and the club have reached an amicable agreement to terminate his contract, effective immediately, without any compensation.
In a statement released by the club, RAEC Mons expressed their gratitude, stating: “RAEC Mons wishes Joachim Mununga all the best for the rest of his professional career.”
The 25-year-old, who previously played for Malines and Gençlerbirliği, had been with the Hainaut-based club since the start of the season. Over the course of 22 appearances, Mununga contributed to the team’s efforts but will not be staying with them as they prepare for life in the second division.
Mununga’s contract with Mons was set to run until 2016, but with the club’s relegation, he is now a free agent and will be seeking new opportunities elsewhere.
