The battle for promotion in Tunisia’s Ligue 2 is heating up following the conclusion of matchday 20, with Jendouba Sport and JS Kairouanaise emerging as frontrunners in Groups A and B respectively.
In Group A, Jendouba Sport maintained their stronghold at the top of the table, sitting on 40 points after 20 matches.
Their consistent performances have placed them in prime position as the promotion race nears its climax.
Mégrine Sport trails closely behind with 36 points, while AS Marsa is not far off with 35, forming a competitive top three.
AS Ariana and CS Korba are neck and neck on 33 points, with Ariana edging into fourth place on goal difference.
Just below them, ES Hammam Sousse holds sixth spot with 29 points, staying within touching distance of the playoff zone.
EM Mahdia sits seventh with 28 points, while CS Msaken and CS Hammam-Lif are level on 25 points each, rounding out the mid-table.
At the lower end of the standings, Kalaa Sport’s 23 points leave them precariously above the drop zone, while SC Moknine (21 points) and SA Menzel Bourguiba (20 points) remain in danger.
AS Oued Ellil sits just above the bottom on 16 points, and ES Rades continues to struggle, anchored at the foot of the table with only 7 points from 20 matches.
Over in Group B, JS Kairouanaise has established a slight lead at the summit with 41 points, closely followed by AS Kasserine on 38.
PS Sakiet Eddaier remains in the hunt with 34 points, while OC Kerkennah, with a game in hand, sits on 33 points—tied with Sfax Railways Sports.
BS Bouhajla and AS Agareb, both on 28 points, continue to chase the leaders, as Stade Gabesien occupies eighth place with 26 points.
AS Jelma (25 points) and Olympique Sidi Bouzid (24 points) are mired in mid-table, looking to climb higher in the coming weeks.
CS Chebba (21 points), CS Redaief (20 points), and ES Jerba (16 points) are fighting to avoid relegation, while ES Rogba Tataouine finds itself at the bottom with 14 points from 19 matches, still with a game in hand.
With just a few matchdays remaining, the promotion and relegation battles are finely poised in both groups.
Each point gained—or lost—could have decisive consequences as the season approaches its finale.
