Al Fateh have ended their contract with manager Khaled Al-Atwi by mutual consent after a run of poor results in the Saudi Pro League, with former Jordan head coach Jamal Sellami reported to be the leading candidate to replace him.
The decision was reported by Asharq Al-Awsat, which said Al Fateh’s board had moved quickly to identify a new manager for the next stage of the season.
Sellami is currently available after the Jordan Football Association dismissed him following the national team’s exit from the group stage of the 2026 World Cup. The Moroccan could now be set for a return to management in Saudi Arabia.
Al Fateh’s change in the dugout comes with the club in a difficult position in the league table. They are 15th with three points from their opening seven matches, having drawn three games and lost four.
The club is expected to decide on Al-Atwi’s successor in the coming period as it attempts to improve its results and move away from the relegation danger zone.
