Bayern Munich attacker Jamal Musiala has been named the Player of the Year for the German national team in 2024.
This means the 21-year-old has now won the prize for the second time, having first won it in 2022.
Musiala garnered 56% of fan votes in a poll conducted with nearly 145,000 participants, surpassing Florian Wirtz and Kai Havertz.
Born in Stuttgart to a Nigerian father and a German mother, Musiala moved to England at seven.
He began his football journey with City Central FC before joining Chelsea’s youth academy. His international career started with England’s youth teams, but he ultimately chose to represent Germany in 2021.
Musiala’s exceptional performance at UEFA Euro 2024 significantly contributed to his recognition. He emerged as the tournament’s top scorer, netting five goals and providing five assists over 13 matches.
