Ivory Coast international Seko Fofana has cut his summer holidays short as begin individual training at Stade Rennais.

The 30-year-old midfielder made a return to France during the January transfer window, signing a contract that will keep him at Rennais until 2029.

Fofana made 16 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the second half of the just ended French Ligue 1 campaign.

While Rennais prepare for their first training session next week, the Ivorian midfielder has cut his holidays short to begin individual training an attempt to equip himself for the upcoming campaign.

The midfielder has been training alone for the past ten days as he gears up for the new campaign.

After a promising start, his form tailed off in the second half of the season after two-and-a-half intense seasons in Saudi Arabia.

The ex-Lens captain appears determined to arrive at full fitness ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, which could prove decisive for his long-term future in Brittany.
