Didier Drogba, the Ivorian international and striker for Shanghai, is set to make his return to the Ivory Coast national team in August. Sabri Lamouchi, the coach of the Ivorian national team, mentioned this during a press conference while discussing his first year on the Elephants bench.
Lamouchi reassured everyone about his relationship with Drogba, describing him as his permanent contact. He acknowledged that Drogba had gone through a difficult situation but expressed the need for the great player and competitor that Drogba is. Lamouchi stated that starting from August, Drogba would be back with the national team and would proudly represent Ivory Coast, as he has always wanted to do.
The coach also addressed the situation of Kolo Toure, stating that it’s excellent news that Toure has found a club (Liverpool) and expressing hope that Toure will get playing time to build confidence.
