Félix Kouadjo has officially announced his departure from ASEC Mimosas, bringing an end to a six-year spell that saw him become a cornerstone of the club’s recent success on both domestic and continental fronts.
The long-serving physical trainer, assistant coach, and video analyst confirmed his exit through a heartfelt message shared on his official Facebook page, marking the conclusion of a chapter defined by trophies, transformation, and technical excellence.
“After six years rich in emotion, learning, and shared challenges, the time has come for me to close this beautiful chapter of my professional life at ASEC Mimosas,” Kouadjo wrote.
Since joining ASEC Mimosas, Kouadjo has played a central role behind the scenes, contributing to a golden period in the club’s history.
During his tenure, the Yellow and Black clinched three Ivorian Ligue 1 titles, lifted the National Cup, and twice won the prestigious Félix Houphouët-Boigny Super Cup.
On the continental stage, the club reached the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League and the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup—clear evidence of their rising stature under his watch.
Though often working out of the spotlight, Kouadjo’s influence was deeply felt throughout the technical structure of the club.
His commitment to precision, tactical intelligence, and rigorous preparation helped define ASEC’s identity during this period.
His expertise extended beyond the confines of club football. During Ivory Coast’s triumphant run at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Kouadjo was called upon to join the Elephants’ technical staff following the sudden departure of head coach Jean-Louis Gasset.
He played a supporting role during a turbulent phase that ended in national glory, further solidifying his reputation as one of the country’s most respected football minds.
Tributes quickly poured in following the announcement of his departure. Among the most poignant was a message from ASEC head coach Julien Chevalier, who praised Kouadjo’s professionalism and humility.
“It was a real privilege to learn from him,” Chevalier wrote, underscoring the mutual respect within the club’s coaching team.
While Kouadjo has not publicly disclosed his next destination, sources close to ASEC suggest he may soon take on a leading role at another Ivorian top-flight club.
His departure signals a new chapter, not just for him, but also for ASEC Mimosas, which now faces the challenge of filling the void left by one of its most dedicated staff members.
In his farewell message, Kouadjo paid special tribute to ASEC’s long-serving Chairman of the Board, Me Roger Ouégnin, acknowledging his unwavering leadership and support. He also addressed the club’s passionate fanbase with genuine appreciation.
“Your energy, your fervor, and your unwavering love will remain forever engraved in my memory,” he wrote, adding, “Thank you for everything, ASEC Mimosas. You will remain forever in my heart.”
Félix Kouadjo departs with the respect of his peers, the gratitude of the supporters, and a legacy of excellence that will be remembered by players and staff alike. His departure closes one of the most impactful chapters in the club’s recent history—a chapter marked by integrity, commitment, and a quiet yet powerful influence on Ivorian football.
