Ivory Coast Coach Faé Emerse Praises Simon Adingra’s Remarkable Progress
Ivory Coast head coach Faé Emerse has expressed his admiration for Simon Adingra, highlighting the Brighton & Hove Albion winger’s rapid adaptation to international football.
Adingra, 23, made a significant impact during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in his home country, impressing fans and analysts alike with his performances.
However, some observers have questioned whether he is receiving enough playing time in the Premier League to fully develop his potential.
Despite these concerns, Faé has no doubts about Adingra’s ability and mindset.
Speaking about the young winger, he emphasised his exceptional talent and attitude.
“I have a very high opinion of him. When you look at his career, it’s hard to believe that he’s still a new international,” Faé said.
“He hasn’t been playing at the highest level for long, but his adaptation has been impressive.
From his first steps, he acclimatised so quickly that we never had the impression that he had just arrived.”
Dedication and Positive Energy
Faé also highlighted Adingra’s work ethic and enthusiasm, describing him as a player who thrives in a competitive environment.
“He is a talented, hard-working and eager-to-learn player. What sets him apart is the positive energy he constantly exudes,” the Ivorian coach continued.
“Always smiling, he is happy and proud to wear the national team jersey. He enjoys every moment and works tirelessly to maintain his level of performance.”
The Brighton forward, known for his pace and technical ability, has demonstrated a strong willingness to improve, according to his national team manager.
A Player Willing to Learn
Faé further praised Adingra’s ability to self-reflect and improve, stating that his attitude makes him a pleasure to coach.
“He also knows how to question himself when necessary. Frankly, it’s a pleasure to work with players like him.
Beyond talent, he is a good listener and knows how to react to dips in form,” he added.
With Adingra’s career still in its early stages, Faé’s words reinforce the belief that the winger has a bright future ahead, both for Brighton and the Ivorian national team.
