Ivory Coast head coach Emerse Faé will reveal his squad on Monday, March 10, ahead of the Elephants’ 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Burundi and Gambia.
The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) confirmed that the squad announcement will take place at 3 p.m. local time.
Ivory Coast, crowned African champions earlier this year, currently lead their qualifying group by a single point ahead of Gabon.
The upcoming matches will see the Elephants face Burundi on March 21 in Meknes, Morocco, before hosting Gambia three days later at the Stade Félix-Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan.
Faé’s list is eagerly awaited, with several key players set to miss out through injury. Defender Odilon Kossounou is ruled out following a serious injury at Atalanta, while Sinaly Diomandé, Emmanuel Agbadou, and Christopher Operi are all doubts. Willy Boly, who has seen limited game time at Nottingham Forest this season, could make his return to the squad.
In attack, Manchester United winger Amad Diallo will miss out due to injury. His absence could open the door for Hamed Junior Traoré, who has impressed with nine goals for Auxerre in Ligue 1.
A major boost for Ivory Coast could come in the form of Sébastien Haller’s return. The striker, who rejoined Utrecht in January, is expected to feature despite scoring only two goals in nine appearances since his comeback.
The final squad list will be pivotal as Ivory Coast aim to maintain their place at the top of the qualifying group and move one step closer to securing a spot at the 2026 World Cup.
