Ivory Coast legend Yaya Touré has emerged as one of the candidate for the vacant coaching job at Belgium second-tier side Daring Brussels, formerly known as RWD Molenbeek.
The club is currently without a substantive manager following the recent departure of Yannick Ferrera. Per reports in Belgium, Daring Brussels have identified the former Saudi Arabia and Tottenham Hotspur assistant gaffer as one of the preferred choice for the job.
Daring Brussels are currently weighing up a move for two coaches, with Touré emerging as an increasingly likely option.
AfricaSoccer.com understands that club owner John Textor is considering appointing either Hernan Losada or the former Ivorian international as the next head coach for Daring Brussels.
Despite reaching an agreement Hernan Losada, the former Barcelona star remain as an option for the top coaching job, as his name evokes an impressive record as a player.
Touré made his mark on football history with clubs such as AS Monaco, FC Barcelona, and Manchester City, where he won numerous titles, including the Premier League and the Champions League. Now, he seems ready to embark on a new adventure as a coach.
Although Touré is less experienced as a coach, his playing experience and influence in the dressing room could give him the necessary assets to succeed. Moreover, his arrival at Daring Brussels would mark a significant turning point for a club seeking renewal and long-term success.
