Ivorian attacker Thierno Barry is on the verge of completing a transfer to English Premier League side Everton.
According to Transfer Insider Fabrizio Romano, the deal is reportedly worth €35 million plus add-ons.
The 22-year-old striker is expected to be a key addition to manager David Moyes’ attacking options as the club looks to bolster its frontline ahead of the new Premier League season.
Barry attracted interest from several top-flight English clubs, but Everton moved swiftly to wrap up the deal.
The talented forward rose to prominence during a standout spell at Swiss side FC Basel, where he netted 20 goals in 41 appearances.
Prior to his time in Switzerland, Barry also made headlines in Belgium with SK Beveren in the 2022/23 campaign, matching that impressive tally with 20 goals.
Having begun his football journey in France, progressing through various youth academies, Barry has steadily climbed the ranks to emerge as one of Africa’s exciting young prospects.
Sources have revealed that the move to Everton could be completed by the close of the week.
