Ivorian international, Sébastien Haller, scored his first goal for FC Utrecht over the weekend, to end a seven-game drought.
The forward signed for the Dutch outfit in the winter transfer window to spend the remainder of the season loan in the Eredivisie.
Before the game against FC Utrecht, Haller had gone seven games without finding the back of the net.
The match saw Willem II take the lead in the 17th minute through Boris Lambert’s powerful strike. Utrecht responded in the 67th minute when Souffian El Karouani delivered a well-placed lofted pass into the box, allowing Haller to rise above his marker and nod the ball home from close range to make it 1-1.
Utrecht then took the lead in the 75th minute with a stunning long-range effort from Noah Ohio, but Willem II struck back in the 83rd minute through Runar Sigurgeirsson. Just two minutes later, Adrian Blake sealed the win for Utrecht with a clinical finish into the bottom corner, ensuring a dramatic 3-2 victory.
After his goal on Sunday, Sebastien Haller will now be eager to score more for the club in the upcoming games.
