Ivorian striker Sebastien Haller is facing an uncertain future at German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations winner is currently on loan in the Dutch Eredivisie, where he plays for FC Utrecht.
Before the loan move to FC Utrecht, Haller had spent time in Spain, where he endured an unsuccessful loan stint at La Liga club CD Leganes.
In the Dutch Eredivisie, the Ivorian striker has found his feet, scoring four goals in 10 appearances to help the team.
Set to return to Borussia Dortmund, Sebastien Haller’s future now hangs in the balance.
According to sources, Dortmund is keen on offloading the Ivorian and is already looking for suitors.
Unfortunately, his €10 million per year salary makes it difficult for interested clubs to approach him.
While a move away from Dortmund is on the horizon, Haller will have to take a pay cut.
At the age of 30 years, he is in good shape and is understood to be eager to stay in Europe despite potential interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League.
