Ivorian forward Patrick Ouotro is set to complete a permanent transfer to AS Nancy-Lorraine following a promising loan spell in Belgium’s second tier with RFC Seraing.
The 19-year-old striker, who is currently under contract with RC Strasbourg until June 2028, is expected to sign a four-year deal with the Ligue 2 side, keeping him at the club until 2029.
The move, first reported by journalist Sacha Tavolieri, marks a significant step in the young player’s career as he looks to establish himself in professional football.
Ouotro’s time in Belgium has helped revive his momentum after a difficult first half of the season on loan at FC Martigues, where he struggled to find form, scoring just once in 15 appearances.
His switch to Seraing during the winter transfer window proved more fruitful.
In just eight appearances in the Challenger Pro League, he tallied three goals and added an assist, a run of form that attracted attention from several clubs looking to invest in emerging talent.
A product of Strasbourg’s youth system, Ouotro was once hailed as one of the most promising prospects in Ivorian football, having been named the Best Young Player of the Ivorian Championship in the 2023–2024 season while at Lys Sassandra.
However, breaking into Strasbourg’s senior side proved difficult, and with opportunities limited, a move away became inevitable.
The striker is said to be motivated by a desire to accelerate his development and earn consistent minutes at a competitive level—something AS Nancy-Lorraine appears ready to offer.

The club, eager to strengthen its attacking options ahead of the new season, sees Ouotro as a long-term investment capable of contributing immediately while continuing to grow.
While the deal has not yet been officially announced by either club, sources close to the negotiation suggest that final formalities are being concluded, and confirmation is expected imminently.
Valued at €300,000 on Transfermarkt, Ouotro’s move to Nancy represents both a new chapter and a fresh challenge.
For the young Ivorian, the aim is clear: to make a definitive impression in Ligue 2 and work his way toward top-tier football in France.
