Ivorian forward Mouekeinga Koné has signed his first professional contract with Danish club FC Nordsjælland, marking a major milestone in the 18-year-old’s burgeoning football career.
A graduate of the renowned Right to Dream Academy, Koné’s move to FCN represents the fulfilment of a long-held ambition shared by many young African players who pass through the academy’s system.
“Signing a contract with FC Nordsjælland means the world to me,” he said. “It’s the dream of every boy who has gone through Right to Dream to make the leap to FCN and Denmark. That this dream has come true makes me very proud.”
Born in 2007, Koné is considered one of the most promising attacking prospects of his generation to emerge from the academy.
Known for his versatility and pace, he has joined the Danish side’s U19 team with an eye firmly on progressing to the Superliga in the near future.
“My immediate goal is to get closer to the Superliga and, eventually, establish myself there permanently,” Koné continued. “I grew up watching Simon Adingra and Mohammed Kudus, two role models who inspire me a lot. I hope to leave my mark at FCN.”
FC Nordsjælland has built a reputation for nurturing young African talent and providing a clear pathway to elite European football.
The club, in close partnership with the Right to Dream academy, has already helped shape the careers of several high-profile players who have moved on to top European leagues.
Koné is now determined to follow in those footsteps and build a name for himself in Denmark.

His arrival at FCN also reinforces the club’s continued investment in youth and its philosophy of developing technically gifted, intelligent players capable of adapting to modern football’s fast-paced demands.
While Koné will begin his journey in the youth ranks, club insiders view him as a long-term first-team prospect with the potential to make an impact at the highest level.
For the young Ivorian, the focus now shifts to adapting to his new environment, earning his place on the pitch, and continuing the journey that began in Abidjan.
With humility, hunger, and inspiration drawn from his idols, Mouekeinga Koné is determined to turn his dream into a lasting legacy.
