Ittihad Tanger sign Morocco winger Younes Najari from OC Safi on free transfer

Morocco winger Younes Najari has joined Ittihad Tanger from OC Safi on a free transfer, signing a contract that runs until 30 June 2028.

The 30-year-old right winger becomes an Ittihad Tanger player after leaving OC Safi, having spent the second half of the 2025-26 campaign with the Moroccan club. Najari moved to OC Safi from Raja Casablanca in January 2026, also on a free transfer.

Najari has built his career in Moroccan football, with his playing record including spells at KACM Marrakech, Widad Temara, Ksar El Kabir and Chabab Larache. He also spent time outside Morocco with Al-Salmiya SC before returning to Raja Casablanca in September 2024.

The Larache-born player has made 98 appearances in the Botola Pro Inwi, scoring 16 goals and providing 11 assists. He has also featured in African club competitions, making eight appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup and six in the CAF Champions League, where he scored once.

Najari’s record also includes appearances in the Moroccan Throne Cup and the Excellence Cup. Across those competitions, he has added one goal in each, giving him experience in domestic knockout football as well as continental competition.

A left-footed attacker who stands 1.86m tall, Najari has spent most of his career operating from the right side. His move keeps him in Morocco’s top-flight football structure, with Ittihad Tanger competing in the Botola Pro Inwi.

The transfer represents another free move in Najari’s recent career. He joined Raja Casablanca from Al-Salmiya in September 2024 without a fee before switching to OC Safi in January 2026. His market value was listed at €375,000 at the time of the move to Ittihad Tanger.

Najari’s new deal gives him a contract with Ittihad Tanger through the end of June 2028. The move was completed on 19 August 2026.
