West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus has described the Premier League as highly intense, emphasizing the physical and technical demands of the competition.
The Ghanaian international made the switch to England in 2023, signing a five-year contract—with an option for an additional year—with the Hammers in a £38 million move from Ajax.
Kudus made an impressive start to life in East London, netting 14 goals across all competitions last season as West Ham secured a top-half Premier League finish and reached the Europa League quarter-finals.
However, the 24-year-old has found goals harder to come by this season, managing just three in the league so far.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the former FC Nordsjaelland star acknowledged the Premier League’s demanding nature.
“The Premier League is a very intense league,” he said.
“There’s lots of running and you need strength. You also need to be technical, and I believe I have all those attributes,” he added.
Kudus recently featured in West Ham’s 1-1 draw against Aston Villa on Sunday. The Hammers now turn their attention to their upcoming clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge next Monday.
