However, the standout performer of the evening for Roma was Gervinho, who added to his tally with his 8th goal of the season, sealing a 3-1 win for the capital club.
Maintaining their position in second place in the league standings, AS Roma now hopes for a stumble from Juventus in their upcoming match against Udinese, in order to reignite the title race.
