Italian outfit Fiorentina express firm interest in Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessie
Ivory Coast international Franck Yannick Kessié has emerged as a top transfer target for Italian outfit Fiorentina in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Italian club are executing an aggressive effort to bolster their squad ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 football in an attempt to make a meaningful impact, with the former Barcelona and AC Milan star popping up on their radar.
Kessie is in the final year of his contract at Al-Ahli Jeddah, with the Saudi Arabia outfit risk losing the Ivorian midfielder for free next summer.
Besides Fiorentina, the Ivory Coast international has attracted interest from an unnamed Italian club. Al-Ahli is keen to resolve the matter quickly, especially since the Ivorian player only has one season left on his contract.
The 28-year-old midfielder can sign with any team next January and join them for free the following summer.
Kessie joined Al Ahly in the summer of 2023, coming from Barcelona, in a deal worth €12.5 million, according to press reports.
Since then, the Ivorian midfielder has participated in 77 matches with Al Ahli in various competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing nine assists.
