Italian-Ivorian striker Moise Kean hailed by Fiorentina sporting director for his rapid progress
Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Pradè has expressed his delight at the impact Moise Kean is making in Florence, describing the striker as one of the club’s most rewarding signings.
Kean is enjoying a stellar period after an impressive week with the Italian national team and has quickly established himself as a key figure for the Viola.
Kean, who was born in Italy to Ivorian parents, arrived from Juventus this summer in a deal worth €15 million including bonuses.
Pradè revealed that Fiorentina saw the transfer as a calculated gamble that is already paying off.
“That’s something we should share because we believed in him and took a gamble,” the sporting director said.
“He’s cost us €15 million so far, including bonuses, and his value is reflected in the transfer market. We’re happy with him, both as a player and as a man, who has happily married Florence and Fiorentina. When he’s happy, he can achieve anything.”
Pradè also highlighted the importance of securing Kean’s long-term future with the club, pointing to the new deal signed in July that runs until 2029.
“His history has always been transparent. I met with the President, who reiterated his desire to continue with Kean. We left any decisions up to him when it came to the release clause,” he explained.
Kean’s form for both club and country underlines his resurgence after a mixed spell at Juventus.
Fiorentina see the Italian-Ivorian forward as central to their plans in Serie A and Europe, with his blend of power, pace and finishing expected to drive their ambitions in the coming seasons.
