Istanbul Başakşehir has entered negotiations to secure the signing of Congolese international Grady Diangana, who is expected to leave West Bromwich Albion when his contract expires in June 2025.
Contract talks stall at West Brom
Diangana, 26, has been with West Brom since 2019, initially joining on loan from West Ham United before making the move permanent following an impressive spell.
However, negotiations over a contract extension have reportedly broken down, making his departure from The Hawthorns increasingly likely.
With his future uncertain, several clubs have shown interest in acquiring the winger, with Turkish Super Lig side Istanbul Başakşehir emerging as the frontrunner.
Reports suggest the club has already made contact with Diangana’s representatives and has put forward a three-year contract offer.
Başakşehir keen to bolster attack
Başakşehir, currently competing in Turkey’s top flight, views Diangana as a key addition to strengthen their attacking options.
His playing style is believed to align well with the club’s tactical approach, making him a prime target ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Valued at €3.8 million according to Transfermarkt, the Congolese winger could provide both experience and creativity to the Turkish side as they look to reinforce their squad.
Negotiations are ongoing, with both parties working towards reaching an agreement.
If a deal is finalized, Diangana could become one of Başakşehir’s key signings in their bid to compete at the top end of the Super Lig.
