Issiaka Kamate: Inter U23 midfielder linked with Palermo move

French-Ivorian midfielder Issiaka Kamate of Inter U23 has been linked with a move to Palermo as the Serie B club assess options to strengthen their midfield.

Kamate, 21, is a left-footed central midfielder and is currently valued at 1.5m, reflecting a steady rise in his market value over the past three years. Standing at 1.86m, he offers a physically imposing profile in the middle of the pitch and wears the No 10 shirt for Inters U23 side.

The Aulnay-sous-Bois-born player has been developed within the Inter system after arriving from French side FC Montfermeils U17s in 2020, progressing through Inters Under-17, Under-18 and Primavera teams before stepping up to the senior structure. His elevation to Inter Milan and then Inter U23 has coincided with significant increases in his valuation.

Kamates recent career has also included loan spells designed to give him first-team experience. He spent part of the 2024-25 season in Portugal with Avs Futebol before returning to Inter and then heading to Modena in Italy, again on loan, prior to rejoining Inter U23 in June 2025.

Interest from Palermo would represent a potential move from a Serie A clubs U23 set-up into an ambitious Serie B environment, where the midfielder could seek more regular competitive minutes at senior level within Italian football.

No agreement has been reached between Inter and Palermo, and the link remains at the rumour stage with discussions yet to be concluded.
