Issa Balbone appointed Burkina Faso women’s coach as Bebeto takes U17 role

Issa Balbone has been appointed head coach of Burkina Faso’s senior women’s national team, the Federation burkinabe de football (FBF) has confirmed.

Balbone was selected by the committee responsible for the recruitment process after the FBF invited applications for the position of Etalons Dames head coach.

As part of a wider reorganisation of the technical staff overseeing Burkina Faso’s national teams, the federation has also placed Mamadou Zongo, known as “Bebeto”, in charge of the men’s U17 team.

The FBF said the changes were intended to strengthen the structure and momentum across the different national squads, while ensuring each age group is able to prepare properly for its upcoming sporting commitments.

The federation congratulated both coaches and wished them success in their new roles.
