Inside sources from Ismaily have revealed that the club’s board has set a transfer fee of $1.35 million for the potential departure of Iyad Al-Asqalani to Russia’s FC Rostov.
The source stated that the Russian club had submitted an offer of $900,000 through its representative currently in Cairo, contradicting reports on sports websites claiming a $400,000 offer.
An urgent meeting of Ismaily’s board was convened late yesterday, determining the valuation at $1.35 million for Al-Asqalani’s potential move.
Al-Asqalani has showcased impressive performances with Ismaily this season, particularly standing out in his first appearances after being promoted from the youth ranks, attracting widespread attention.
The defender has also featured for the national U-20 team under the guidance of coach Mahmoud Gaber and joined one of the training camps of the Olympic national team.
In a separate development, Ismaily’s coaching staff has requested a training camp in Alexandria following the team’s exit from the League Cup.
There are no scheduled commitments until February 15, allowing the squad to regroup and prepare for upcoming challenges.
