Ismaily Sporting Club has found itself at the center of a transfer tug-of-war over Ghanaian forward Yaw Anor.
The Libyan club, Al-Ittihad, expressed interest in securing Anor on loan during the ongoing winter transfer window, proposing a deal worth $300,000.
However, Al Ahli Bank has entered the scene with an offer of $400,000 to acquire Anor’s services permanently.
Yaw Anor has been a standout performer for Ismaily, contributing crucial goals despite the team’s challenging position in the league standings.
Ismaily secured the Ghanaian forward’s services under the previous administration led by Engineer Yahya El-Komy.
Anor arrived from Ashanti Gold SC with a long-term contract spanning five seasons.
Under the guidance of coach Ihab Galal, Ismaily is gearing up for their upcoming clash against ENPPI in the final round of the league group stage.
The match is scheduled for next Wednesday at Petro Sport Stadium.
The players enjoyed a 24-hour break on Friday following a friendly match against South Sinai.
In a friendly encounter last Thursday, Ismaily secured a 3-2 victory against South Sinai’s team, Al-Mazalim.
Hossam Morsi scored a brace, and Bassem Morsi added another goal to the scoreboard for the Dervishes.
As Ismaily contemplates the offers for Yaw Anor, the competition for the talented Ghanaian forward intensifies, adding an extra layer of complexity to the ongoing transfer negotiations.
