Ismaily SC, under the leadership of Nasr Abu Al-Hassan, released an official statement on Friday addressing the club’s ongoing struggle with a registration ban.
The Egyptian football outfit is grappling with financial hurdles that have cast a shadow over its preparations for the upcoming transfer window.
“The club’s board of directors would like to inform its loyal fans that a ban on the registration of new players has recently been imposed due to cases related to the dues of former players, Ivorian Jean Morel and Algerian Mohamed Ben Khemassa. This requires the payment of these financial dues to lift the registration ban,” Ismaily SC said in its statement.
“The club notes that a new decision is expected to be issued soon to impose an additional ban on registration due to the case of Bolivian player Carmelo Algaranaz, related to his delayed financial dues.
“The Ismaily Board is making every effort and continues to work day and night to settle these financial issues, and is seriously striving to find urgent solutions that will contribute to lifting the current registration ban and avoiding any additional penalties before the start of the next summer transfer period.
“The club calls on its loyal fans to stand behind the entity at this critical stage, expressing its confidence that Ismaily, with the support of its fans and the solidarity of its sons, is able to overcome the challenges and return to its natural place among the greats.”
