Ismaily SC’s board of directors has declined the resignation of Mohsen Abdel-Messih, a board member, submitted in protest of the Dervishes’ winter transfers during the ongoing transfer window.
Abdel-Messih tendered his resignation after Ismaily completed five transfers, including Ahmed El-Sheikh, Hisham Mohamed, Hatem Sukkar, Eric Traore, and Abdelkareem Mostafa, based on the preferences of coach Ayman Joulan and the football committee led by Ali Abou Gerges and his deputy Emad Soliman.
However, Abdel-Messih withdrew his resignation after the club’s president, Nasr Abul Hassan, and the board rejected it, assuring him that the transfers were made in accordance with Joulan’s vision and the football committee.
Ismaily successfully resolved the registration crisis officially after settling all required fines and resolving disputes, concluding challenging negotiations that incurred substantial costs for the club.
The club transferred the necessary amounts to all parties involved, covering fines, overdue payments, and any other claims, in addition to the fees for foreign lawyers.
The club cleared the dues for Tunisian Nour El-Zamoury, Spaniard Juan Carlos Garrido, Namibian Benson Shilongo, Ivorian player Abdelkader Kollibaly from Korhogo FC, and Ecuadorian Deportivo Quevedo.
The club also informed three players, Saleh Gomaa, Basem Morsi, and Ahmed Mohsen, that they are no longer part of the team’s plans, urging them to seek opportunities for departure.
The club’s management revealed that Ismaily’s coach, Ayman Joulan, requested the departure of the trio due to the team’s lack of need for their services in the coming period.
He advised them to explore offers for transfer to any club interested in acquiring them.
In another context, the coaching staff of Ismaily’s first football team, led by coach Ayman Joulan, continued preparations for the resumption of the Egyptian Premier League, especially after the team’s exit from the Egyptian Clubs Association Cup.
Ismaily secured a friendly victory against Al-Najm team with a goal scored by Omar El-Saai, reflecting the club’s determination, along with the coaching staff, to achieve positive results and secure their position in the Premier League.
