Ismaily Club engages FIFA in crucial meeting to resolve registration crisis

The Ismaily Sporting Club, led by President Nasr Abu El Hassan, is racing against time to resolve the ongoing crisis affecting the team, lift the registration ban imposed on the club, and restore stability within the Ismaily fortress.

Today, Tuesday, Ismaily officials conducted a virtual hearing with representatives from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to discuss the case of former Ismaily player, Bolivian Carmelo.

Ismaily officials have initiated communication with agents representing former professional players of the team.

These players include Argentine Diego Fernando, Bolivian Carmelo, Ivorian Jean Morel, Palestinian Khaled Al Nabris, Algerian Mohamed Ben Khemassa, and Tunisians Nour Al-Zaman Al-Zamouri and Firas Al-Shawati.

The aim is to persuade them to reach an amicable settlement to resolve outstanding payments and thus address the club’s registration crisis.

The Ismaily management is keen on expeditiously reaching a resolution, opting for a negotiated settlement with the players to avoid protracted legal battles in the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland.

The Ismaily Club is actively working to conclude all outstanding issues with former professional players, seeking to draw the curtain on controversies and usher in an era of stability.

The club has paid a high price in recent years due to legal disputes and financial claims from foreign players.
