AC Milan midfielder Ismaël Bennacer has returned to Italy to enter the final phase of his recovery following a prolonged injury absence.

After spending time in Qatar working with a personal trainer, Bennacer is now back in Milan to continue his rehabilitation under the club’s medical supervision.

His progress signals a possible return to team training and competitive action in the coming weeks.

Bennacer, a vital figure for both AC Milan and the Algerian national team, has been sidelined for several months.

His arrival at Milan’s training center, Milanello, marks a significant step in his recovery journey.

Club officials and fans alike are optimistic about his steady progress as he transitions from individual workouts to reintegrating with the squad.

The 25-year-old midfielder’s return comes as a boost for Milan coach Paulo Fonseca, who is keen to have Bennacer back in his lineup.

Ismaël’s return is excellent news, Fonseca said. “He’s a key player for us, and his recovery has been closely monitored. We’re hopeful he’ll rejoin the group soon.

Bennacer’s rehabilitation journey has been carefully managed, with initial sessions in Qatar focusing on regaining strength and mobility.

Now back in Milan, he will first train individually before taking part in collective sessions with his teammates.

The timeline for his full return to competitive play remains tentative but is expected within weeks.

The midfielder’s absence has been felt not only at the club level but also by the Algerian national team, which eagerly anticipates his availability for upcoming international fixtures.

His presence in midfield is seen as pivotal for both teams, given his ability to control the tempo of matches and provide defensive stability.

Fans have expressed their excitement about Bennacer’s progress, with many hopeful that his return will coincide with a strong second half of the season for AC Milan.

We’ve missed his influence in the midfield,” said a Milan supporter.

It’s great to see him back at Milanello.

The team needs him now more than ever.

As Bennacer embarks on the final stage of his recovery, both AC Milan and the Algerian national team will be closely monitoring his readiness to return to action.

His comeback could provide a significant boost to Milan’s ambitions in Serie A and beyond, as well as Algeria’s goals on the international stage.
