Inter Milan have finalised the signing of French forward Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma, securing the 21-year-old on a five-year contract.
The deal marks the Nerazzurri’s third addition of the summer transfer window and is reportedly worth €23 million plus add-ons.
Bonny, who is of Ivorian descent, was personally recommended by newly appointed Inter manager Cristian Chivu.
The Romanian coach previously worked with the striker during his time at Parma and sees him as a key asset in reshaping Inter’s attacking options ahead of the new Serie A campaign.
The Frenchman enjoyed a strong season at Parma, registering six goals and four assists as the club successfully avoided relegation. Despite initial resistance from Parma over Inter’s valuation, an agreement was eventually reached, fending off late interest from Bundesliga side Stuttgart.
Bonny joins Inter in the midst of an attacking reshuffle, with veteran striker Marko Arnautovic having left the club and Mehdi Taremi reportedly attracting interest from Besiktas and Fulham. Bonny is expected to provide depth and competition for Lautaro Martínez and Marcus Thuram, both of whom remain central to Inter’s forward line.
In addition to Bonny, Inter have also secured the signatures of Petar Sucic and Luis Henrique, signalling the club’s proactive stance in the transfer market as they seek to reinforce their squad for the upcoming season.
