Inter Milan prepare improved offer for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones

Inter Milan are ready to make a substantial financial offer for Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones after their initial proposal of £30m was rejected, according to the Daily Mail.

The Italian club remain keen to sign the England international during the current summer transfer window and are preparing to increase their offer in an attempt to persuade Liverpool to consider a deal.

Liverpool have turned down Inter’s £30m approach and maintain that the fee does not reflect Jones’ value. The English club believe the midfielder is worth more and are not prepared to sanction his departure for that amount.

Jones, 24, remains under contract at Anfield until 2027. Although his influential role in the team has diminished over recent seasons, he continues to attract strong interest from several clubs, with Inter Milan currently at the front of the queue.

Inter’s management have admired Jones for several months and are understood to be monitoring his situation closely. Their interest has now developed into a clear attempt to bring him to Serie A, although Liverpool’s valuation represents a significant obstacle to the proposed transfer.

Liverpool have not completely ruled out selling Jones. The club, led by current manager Andoni Iraola, are willing to consider the possibility of his departure if a suitable offer arrives.
