Inter linked with Lyon winger Malick Fofana

Belgian-Guinean winger Malick Fofana is being linked with a move from Lyon to Inter, with the 21-year-old currently under contract with the French club until June 2028.

Fofana plays primarily on the left wing and has been part of Lyon’s squad since joining the club on 10 January 2024. The potential move would see him leave Ligue 1 for Serie A, although no transfer fee or probability has been reported as part of the rumour.

Born in Aalst, Belgium, Fofana holds Belgian and Guinean nationality. He is listed at 1.69m and is predominantly right-footed, despite operating from the left side of the attack.

His current market value is listed at €30m, a figure that provides an indication of his standing in the transfer market but does not represent a confirmed asking price from Lyon. The French club’s decision to retain him under a contract running for a further two seasons beyond the current campaign would also give it a strong contractual position in any discussions.

Fofana’s possible move to Inter is therefore at an early rumour stage, with the player remaining a Lyon winger and no agreement between the clubs confirmed.
