The Egyptian Premier League’s relegation zone intensifies as clubs gear up for the third week of the second phase, with an intense struggle among the teams positioned from eleventh place downwards.

This battle involves ten clubs vying to avoid relegation to the second division, with only four securing their spot in the Premier League for the upcoming season.

Petroleum Assiut, under the leadership of their coach Ahmed Abdel Maqsoud, is set to clash with Abu Qair Fertilizers, managed by Mohamed Atiya.

Meanwhile, Makadi, led by their coach Nabil Mahmoud, will face Shabbin Republic, led by Aboul Enein Shihata.

In another matchup, Stars Club, led by Ahmed Sary, will host Misr El-Maqassa, led by Tarek Haggag.

Additionally, Aswan, under the guidance of Hesham Zakaria, will play against Dakahlia, led by their coach Hassan Moussa.

The bottom-placed Nasr Lel Taa’den, led by Atiya Saber, will encounter the Telecommunications Club, led by Hany El Akabawi.

With Petroleum Assiut at 30 points, Abu Qair at 29 points, Aswan at 26 points, and Telecommunications and Dakahlia tied at 25 points, the competition for survival remains fierce.

Shabbin Republic trails with 18 points, followed by Makadi with 17 points, Stars Club with 13 points, Misr El-Maqassa with 12 points, and Nasr Lel Taa’den with 7 points.

Promotion Battles Kick Off in the Fourth Week

On Friday, the competition intensifies for the top ten clubs in the Egyptian Premier League as they vie for promotion to the top flight.

Matches between teams vying for second and third place promise to be particularly fierce, with each team eager to secure at least the second spot to avoid the uncertainty of promotion playoffs.

There is intense competition among Petrojet, Wadi Degla, Ghazl El Mahalla, Haras El Hodood, and Lavaena to secure promotion and play alongside the top-tier teams.

Next Friday’s fixtures include Lavaena, led by coach Ahmed Salah, facing Brooqsy, led by Mohamed Hamed Abdel Galil. Meanwhile, Railway Club, led by Amir Azmi Magdi, will face Ghazl El Mahalla, led by Ahmed Eid Abdel Malek. Tanta, under the leadership of Amr Anwar, will play against Rayah, led by Mohamed Halim.

The Canal team, led by Ahmed El Agouz, will encounter the league leader Petrojet, led by Sayed Eid. Additionally, Haras El Hodood will host Wadi Degla, led by Igor Tolic.
