Injured En-Nesyri to Miss Al-Ittihad’s crucial clash with Al-Hazem
Youssef En-Nesyri is expected to miss a key fixture for Al-Ittihad as fitness concerns continue to sideline the Moroccan striker ahead of their top-of-the-table encounter with Al-Hazm.
The two sides are scheduled to meet on Friday at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in the 27th round of the Saudi Pro League, but En-Nesyri’s availability remains in serious doubt.
According to reports from Saudi outlet Al-Riyadh, the forward has been restricted to individual training sessions and has not fully rejoined the squad due to injury concerns. His absence from group training has raised strong indications that he will not feature in the upcoming match.
The situation has been inconsistent in recent days. En-Nesyri missed Al-Ittihad’s friendly clash against Al-Wehda on Monday, briefly returned to group training on Tuesday, and then reverted to individual work on Wednesday, further highlighting his uncertain condition.
His absence extends beyond club duties, as he was also unavailable for the recent international camp with the Morocco national football team under new head coach Mohamed Ouahbi. During that period, Morocco faced Ecuador and Paraguay in friendly matches held in Spain and France.
With Al-Ittihad pushing to maintain their position at the top of the league, En-Nesyri’s likely absence represents a significant blow as they prepare for one of their most important fixtures of the season.
