Athletic Bilbao has declared that Inaki Williams, the Ghanaian striker, is presently unavailable for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) due to his medical condition, necessitating a period of rest. The announcement from Athletic Bilbao came via a press release, revealing that Williams underwent examinations at the club’s medical facilities in Lezama.
The medical evaluation indicated a general condition that calls for a period of rest, with the Ghanaian international already receiving a prescribed treatment.
Williams is set to undergo further evaluation on Tuesday, following which the club will determine his fitness to join the Black Stars’ assembly camp in Ghana.

The examination can be conducted either in the territory of the association or in the association with which the player is registered. This provision seems not to align with the circumstances surrounding Inaki Williams.
