Belgian forward of Ivorian descent, Johan Bakayoko, has expressed his readiness to work hard to ensure he enjoys success with his new club, RB Leipzig.
In a summer where the attacker has been linked with potential transfers to several clubs, Bakayoko signed for the German Bundesliga club on Tuesday, July 16.
“RB Leipzig has signed Belgian international Johan Bakayoko. The 22-year-old attacker joins from top Dutch club PSV Eindhoven and signs a long-term contract with the Red Bulls until June 30, 2030. He will wear the number 9 for RBL,” the German club announced.
Speaking in his first interview after sealing the move, Bakayoko said he is determined to work hard to ensure he enjoys success with RB Leipzig and the team’s fans.
“I immediately felt that there was a clear plan for me and that I could leverage my strengths here. RB Leipzig is a club that challenges and develops young players. I’m ready to work hard, take on responsibility, and want to celebrate success with the team and our fans,” Bakayoko said.
