Teenager Lamine Yamal is upbeat ahead of Spain’s tie against Netherlands in the Uefa Nations League.
This is particularly because he is excited he will be facing FC Barcelona teammate Frenkie de Jong.
“I do not know how he [Frenkie de Jong] is; he had stomach issues. When we found out we were playing the Netherlands, we talked about it.
“I wished him luck, and I am excited to play against him. He is a great player. We are very eager to play against the Netherlands,” Lamine Yamal revealed ahead of the tie.
The first leg of the quarter-final tie between Spain and Netherlands in the Uefa Nations League will be played on Thursday, March 20.
Lamine Yamal despite being close to Frenkie de Jong is hoping to help Spain to beat Netherlands at the end of the clash later tonight.
The forward has been in fine form and will be playing a key role for La Roja.
