Genk striker Tolu Arokodare has spoken candidly about reports linking him with a move to the Premier League, expressing particular admiration for Manchester United.
The 24-year-old Nigerian forward, who topped the Belgian Pro League scoring charts last season with 21 goals in 38 appearances, is attracting interest from several English clubs, including United.
The Red Devils are in the market for a new striker after losing out on Liam Delap to Chelsea and underwhelming returns from Rasmus Højlund and Joshua Zirkzee, who scored just seven Premier League goals combined last season.
Speaking to Sports Boom, Arokodare shared his aspirations and revealed a personal connection to the Old Trafford side.
“Obviously, it’s a dream to play in the Premier League, but I have my eyes on it for sure,” he said.
“I’m a Manchester United fan, and if it happens, it would mean a lot to me and my family. Of course, it would be a dream come true.”
While United are also monitoring Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyökeres and Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, Arokodare presents a compelling alternative.
His physical presence—standing at 6’6″—and consistent goal output have marked him as one of the more underrated attacking options in the summer window.
Reports suggest Arokodare could be signed for around £20 million, a fee significantly lower than what would be required to land Gyökeres or Mbeumo.
His open admiration for Manchester United may further influence their decision, particularly as the club evaluates players who can offer both impact and commitment to the badge.
