Borussia Dortmund are reportedly monitoring Standard Liège U18 defensive midfielder Ilian Hadidi, with a 29% probability currently attached to a potential move from Belgium to the Bundesliga.

The 17-year-old, who holds both Moroccan and Belgian nationality, is emerging as one of Standard’s most highly regarded youth prospects and has been linked with a switch from the U18 Elite 1 in Belgium to Dortmund’s academy structure in Germany, according to data from Transfermarkt dated 19 April 2026.

Born in Liège on 6 March 2009, Hadidi plays primarily as a defensive midfielder, operates with his right foot and wears the No 10 shirt for Standard’s U18 side. He is listed with no official market value, a detail which has fuelled speculation that Dortmund could secure a low-cost deal or even move if his current terms allow him to become a free agent, with no contract start or expiry dates recorded.

Hadidi is currently registered with Standard Liège U18 at national-team level, underlining that his development remains at youth stage rather than senior. Standing at 1.74m, he has been used at the base of midfield, with his role focused more on control and protection than headline statistics.

No transfer fee has been indicated, and with his contract situation not publicly defined, recruitment analysts have pointed to the possibility of Dortmund positioning themselves early in case Standard risk losing him without compensation should his deal expire.

While there are no confirmed senior statistics yet and no recent competitive first-team match data available beyond youth fixtures, the interest from a leading Bundesliga club underlines the perception of his potential. If a move to Dortmund does materialise, it could mark a decisive step in Hadidi’s career, accelerating his path from Liège’s academy pitches to one of Europe’s most renowned talent-producing environments.
