Igho Ogbu marked his maiden call-up to the Nigerian national team in style, finding the net in Slavia Prague’s commanding 3-0 victory over Jablonec on Sunday night.
The 24-year-old defender opened the scoring in the ninth minute, netting his second goal of the season for the Czech club.
However, his night was cut short as he was substituted six minutes before halftime, with Stepan Chaloupek coming on in his place.
Slavia Prague extended their dominance in the league with the win, further solidifying their position at the top of the table.
Thomas Chory doubled the advantage before an own goal from Jablonec goalkeeper Jan Hanus sealed the victory.
With 68 points from 26 matches, Slavia Prague remains in control of the title race.
Ogbu will now shift his focus to international duty as he prepares to join the Super Eagles squad in Kigali ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
