The iconic FNB Stadium has been confirmed as the venue to host the crucial CAF Champions League semifinals clash between South African giants Orlando Pirates and Pyramids FC on Egypt.
The much-anticipated clash has been moved from Orlando Pirates favourite home ground to South Africa’s largest venue to allow as many fans as possible to attend the match.
The FNB Stadium has a capacity of 94,736 spectators, whereas Orlando Stadium holds 37,313.
Pirates will play host to the Egyptian outfit on April 19, 2025 in the first leg of the semifinals clash before traveling to the North African country for the return encounter.
The South African outfit are playing in the Champions League for the third time in their history and will be hoping to reach the finals this time.
Orlando Pirates triumphed over Algerian outfit MC Alger to book a place in the semifinals of the ongoing Champions League campaign. They secured a 1-0 win in the first leg before playing out a 0-0 draw in the return clash to progress 1-0 on aggregate.
