Ichem Ferrah delivers sixth assist as Cambuur maintain momentum
Ichem Ferrah continued his impressive season form by registering his sixth assist as SC Cambuur were held to a 1-1 draw against FC Dordrecht.
The 20-year-old winger played a key role in the encounter, once again demonstrating his attacking influence despite the result having no impact on Cambuur’s already secured promotion to the Eredivisie.
Ferrah had already shown signs of his creativity earlier in the match, delivering a well-placed cross in the first half that was not converted by his captain. However, he remained influential after the break and was rewarded for his persistence.
In the 54th minute, the young forward produced a precise assist, setting up Mark Demers for the opening goal.
The delivery highlighted Ferrah’s vision and composure in the final third, qualities that have defined his performances throughout the campaign.
Although Cambuur were unable to hold on for victory, eventually settling for a 1-1 draw, the result carried little consequence in the broader context of their season. The club had already confirmed promotion, allowing them to approach the closing stages of the campaign with greater freedom.
Ferrah’s contribution adds to an already notable individual record this season. Alongside his six assists, he has also scored 11 goals, underlining his importance to Cambuur’s attacking output.
His consistency and ability to influence matches have made him one of the standout performers in the squad, particularly as the team secured their return to the top tier of Dutch football.
With promotion already achieved, attention now turns to maintaining form ahead of next season. For Ferrah, his continued performances offer further evidence of his development and growing impact at senior level.
