Ibrahim Said, the former Egyptian football star, has spoken out about Imad Ashour, the midfielder for Al Ahly’s first football team, describing him as his successor on the field.
In his remarks on his show aired on Al-Nahar TV channel, Ibrahim Said stated: “Imad Ashour is one of the best players in Al Ahly, especially in the match against Algeria’s ES Setif.
He is the standout player for the Red Devils.”
Continuing his appraisal, Said added: “Imad Ashour is a midfielder who thrives under pressure and fears no opponent.
His passing skills are exceptional, making him the best midfielder in Egypt.
He just needs to improve his attacking contributions.”
The statement from Ibrahim Said comes after Al Ahly’s first football team secured a goalless draw against ES Setif of Algeria in the fourth round of the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
