Ibrahim Nagaaoui thanks Ismaily fans as teenage Egypt winger closes in on Slavia Prague move

Egypt Under-17 international Ibrahim Nagaaoui has bid an emotional farewell to Ismaily as the 17-year-old winger prepares to complete a move to Czech champions Slavia Prague.

Ismaily reached agreement with Slavia Prague a few days ago for Nagaaoui to join the club during the current summer transfer window, with the fee set at $350,000 and a 15% sell-on clause in favour of the Egyptian side.

Nagaaoui has already been in the Czech Republic for several days and is waiting for Slavia Prague to officially confirm the transfer. He will turn 18 in August.

Emotional message to boyhood club

In a farewell post on his Instagram account, Nagaaoui expressed gratitude to Ismaily, where he has played since his early childhood.

Nagaaoui underlined that he had come through during a turbulent spell for Ismaily but insisted he had always given everything on the pitch for the club.

Deal lower than Ismaily’s initial valuation

Ismaily had initially requested $400,000 to allow the teenager to leave, before the two clubs settled on a $350,000 fee.

According to details learned by FilGoal.com, Slavia Prague have already transferred the agreed amount to secure the signing, while Ismaily will also receive 15% of any future transfer fee should Nagaaoui be sold on.

The move represents the first overseas step in the career of a player who has progressed through Ismaily’s youth system and broken into the first team over the past year.

Rapid rise for Egypt youth international

Nagaaoui is a product of Ismaily’s academy and was promoted to the senior side last season, going on to feature regularly across domestic competitions.

He made 25 appearances in all competitions during the last campaign, including 18 matches in the league, six in the League Cup and one in the Egypt Cup.

Operating primarily as a right winger, Nagaaoui has also begun to make his mark on the international stage.

He represented Egypt at the Under-17 World Cup last year and contributed to the national team’s progress to the last 32 of the tournament.

Slavia Prague looking ahead to Champions League

Slavia Prague, who were crowned Czech league champions last season, are preparing for another campaign in the Champions League.

They exited the league phase of the Champions League last season after finishing 34th in the overall ranking.

Nagaaoui’s expected arrival comes as the Prague club seek to strengthen their squad for both domestic title defence and European competition, while Ismaily capitalise financially on the sale of one of their most promising academy graduates.
