Ibrahim Maza is on the brink of a major step in his young career, with Bayer Leverkusen set to secure the Algerian talent following a strong season with Hertha Berlin.
According to German outlet Bild, Leverkusen and Hertha have reached an agreement for the transfer of Maza, with the deal expected to be worth €10 million. The move is likely to be finalised after the current campaign ends.
Maza, born in 2005, has caught attention with his skill and consistency. This season alone, he has bagged 7 goals and provided 5 assists in 32 matches for Hertha. His performances have earned him two caps for Algeria, while also representing Germany at junior and youth levels earlier in his development.
He joined Hertha in 2021 and worked his way up from the youth ranks before breaking into the first team in the summer of 2023. Now, with Leverkusen fresh off a domestic double, the promising attacking midfielder could be the next rising star in Xabi Alonso’s squad.
