Ibrahim Diaz, the star of Real Madrid, is on the brink of deciding which national team he will represent on the international stage.
Recently, numerous reports have surfaced suggesting that Diaz has chosen Morocco over Spain.
The Spanish newspaper “AS” reported: “The news of Diaz joining Morocco is not new, as the Moroccan Football Federation and coach Walid Regragui have been working on convincing the player for a long time, whether behind the scenes or publicly.”
“It is becoming increasingly likely that Diaz will represent Morocco,” it added.
“The player is currently working on finalizing some procedures before representing the Atlas Lions, but that does not mean he is turning his back on Spain.”
The report further indicated: “Diaz has always waited for Spain, and now coach Luis de la Fuente is counting on him for the upcoming squad, during the break in March (Spain will play against Colombia and Brazil).”
Diaz has not received a phone call from De la Fuente confirming this interest.
Meanwhile, Morocco has presented a highly attractive project to the Real Madrid star, with a promise that he will be a key player for the Atlas Lions.
