Ibrahim Adel: Egyptian left winger linked with move to Nordsjaelland in Denmark

Ibrahim Adel has completed a loan move from Al-Jazira to Danish side Nordsjaelland, sealing a switch that takes the Egyptian left winger from the UAE Pro League to the Superliga.

The deal is officially registered as a loan transfer from the Abu Dhabi club to the Danish outfit, with the move confirmed on 2026-02-02. His temporary contract with Nordsjaelland is scheduled to run until 2026-06-30, after which he is due to return to Al-Jazira unless a further agreement is reached. The arrangement keeps open the possibility that Adel’s longer-term future could change again once the loan expires.

Adel arrives in Denmark with a current market value of €3.20m, underlining his status as a significant attacking asset. The 24-year-old, who plays primarily as a left winger and prefers his right foot, is also capable of operating across the front line. He will wear the colours of a club competing in the Superliga, adding another country and league to a career that has already taken him from Egypt to the United Arab Emirates and now to Scandinavia.

Born in Port Said on 23/04/2001, Adel developed in Egyptian football before breaking through at senior level. He moved from El Mareekh SC to Pyramids FC U21 in 2018, then stepped up to Pyramids FC’s first team in 2019. His performances there helped push his value from €25,000 in 2019 to €1.50m by late 2021, reflecting his rise as one of Egypt’s more promising wide forwards.

Adel later transferred from Pyramids FC to Al-Jazira, with his valuation climbing again, peaking at €3.50m in mid-2025 before settling at €3.20m with the UAE Pro League club later that year. The switch to Nordsjaelland therefore comes at a time when he is entering his prime years and already established as a full professional abroad.

At Al-Jazira, Adel added experience in a different footballing culture and in a league featuring a mix of regional stars and international imports. His move to Nordsjaelland places him in a competition known for its intensity and as a stepping stone for players eyeing larger European stages. For Nordsjaelland, bringing in a player of his profile on loan limits financial risk while adding depth and creativity on the flanks.

The temporary nature of the deal means Adel’s medium-term status remains fluid. Once his loan ends on 2026-06-30, he is scheduled to be under contract again at Al-Jazira, but strong performances in Denmark could encourage Nordsjaelland to explore a permanent arrangement or attract interest from other European clubs. Conversely, limited playing time could see him return to the UAE to fight for his place there or reassess his options.

As he prepares to adapt to Danish football and new tactical demands at Nordsjaelland, this confirmed loan move represents a pivotal chapter in Adel’s career: an opportunity to prove himself in the Superliga and to shape his reputation beyond Egypt and the Gulf region.
