Ibou Sane’s proposed Al Ula transfer explained by agent Souleymane Ba

Ibou Sane came close to leaving FC Metz for Saudi Arabian club Al Ula during the last summer transfer window, but the move failed to go through because of circumstances beyond the control of the parties involved.

Sane’s agent, Souleymane Ba, discussed the proposed transfer and the Senegalese striker’s plans with FC Metz in an interview with Maghreb-Foot.

According to Ba, Al Ula had made an attractive offer for the young forward. However, despite the interest from the Saudi club, the deal could not be completed and the 21-year-old remained in Moselle.

Sane is now focused on continuing his development with FC Metz and establishing himself at the club. Ba also praised the Senegal international’s qualities and highlighted his versatility.

The forward’s objectives for the current season are described as clear: he wants to make his mark with FC Metz and continue progressing with the club.

Sane is under contract with FC Metz until 30 June 2028. His estimated market value is €800,000.

FC Metz are due to face FC Sochaux in their ninth Ligue 2 match of the season.

The listed pre-match odds are 1.69 for a FC Metz victory, 3.30 for a draw and 4.10 for a FC Sochaux win.
